Detailed Changes
1. Accurate invoicing for subscription changes
Problem: Previously, changing subscription details after creation could result in incorrect invoices being generated.
Solution: To prevent these errors, we’ve made subscription details read-only after creation. This ensures that once a subscription is set up, changes that could affect invoicing cannot be made. This will help eliminate the risk of incorrect invoices being issued.
2. Renewal period set to zero removed
Problem: When the renewal period was set to zero, it caused unexpected behaviors and issues with invoicing.
Solution: We’ve removed the option to set the renewal period to zero, ensuring subscriptions now follow a logical and consistent renewal process.
3. Ended subscriptions no longer generate invoices
Problem: Invoices were incorrectly generated for subscriptions that had ended.
Solution: Subscriptions that have been canceled or reached their end date will no longer generate invoices. Additionally, when setting a subscription’s end date, users will now see a clear message explaining this process to avoid any confusion.
4. Clear display of subscription cancellation dates
Problem: Previously, it was unclear when a subscription had been canceled or set to expire.
Solution: The cancellation date for each subscription will now be clearly displayed in the interface, giving you better visibility and control over your subscriptions.
5. Custom end dates and auto-renewal issues resolved
Problem: Auto-renewal could be activated even if a custom end date had been set, leading to confusion and unexpected renewals.
Solution: We’ve resolved this by preventing auto-renewal from being activated if a custom end date has been specified for a subscription. This change ensures that your subscription management process remains predictable and within your control.
6. Improved monthly invoice generation
Problem: Some users experienced system crashes when generating monthly invoices.
Solution: The invoice generation process has been optimized, improving system stability and ensuring that monthly invoices can now be generated without issues.
7. Better understanding of which invoices will be generated
Problem: It was sometimes unclear which invoices would be generated for customers, leading to confusion during the billing cycle.
Solution: We’ve introduced a new invoice preview feature that provides a clear overview of all upcoming invoices. This feature allows you to see exactly which invoices will be generated, giving you better transparency and control over your billing process.
