Managing Organizations and Users for Papercut

With a connection between ZapFloor, Papercut, and your printer, prints can be tracked and billed through ZapFloor.

Grant access to organizations for Papercut.

Navigate to Integrations > Papercut. Access the Organizations section on the Papercut dashboard. Here you will get an overview of all customers (companies) in your account. If you want to give a company access to the printer software, click on the plus sign (+) to the right of the company name.

Once you have added them, the plus changes into 4 icons: ​

🚫: Disable - Deactivate this company in Papercut

👨‍👦‍👦: Manage users - Shows all users of this company

🙎‍♂️+: Enable all users: this allows you to add all users of this company to Papercut

✈️: Send information - Send all users of this company their Papercut login

Manage users

When you click on Manage users (👨‍👦‍👦), you will find a list of all users created in this company in ZapFloorHQ. From this list, you can grant access to each user. If the user already has access, you can see or resend their code or disable them in Papercut.

Sending the info results in an email stating:

  • We are now using Papercut and you can use this to print.
  • You can download the printer software here.
  • These are your login details.

The pin code listed for each user connects their Zapfloor account with their Papercut account.

Printing with a badge

If you have a badge scanner at your printer, your users only need to link their username and code once to the machine with their badge. From that moment, their badge is enough for the system to recognize them.

This is explained to your user in the email they will receive.

Note: You can only link one account per badge.

If another user links their badge to the same account, the old badge will be disabled. To relink to the old badge, you must log in to the Papercut portal.

Charging for prints with Papercut

You can give your members free copies/credit using Papercut in Zapfloor. Any prints they make beyond their credits will be billed with the variable costs of the month.

Unable to locate the user in Papercut?

It may happen that you want to let a user print, but you can't find them in the list. The reason this person is not on the list is that they have not yet been created in Zapfloor.

To create a user in ZapFloor go to Customers select the company Users. From here, you can add extra users to the company with the plus (+). They will then also appear in the list in Papercut, so you can add them.
