Want a customer to pay part of their invoice now and the rest later, create an advance invoice and a final invoice with this function.
Create Advance Invoice
When creating an invoice, there is a possibility to create and Advance invoice.
If you want the customer to pay part now and the rest later, you can create an advance invoice and a final invoice with this function. Here is how it works:
- When clicking on Create invoice from an order, the meeting room booker or a quote, the system will ask if you would like to create an advance invoice.
-
Turn on the Advance Invoice toggle.
-
Enter the amount the customer should pay now (for example: 50).
-
Click Convert.
Zapfloor will automatically create two draft invoices:
-
The advance invoice with the amount you chose (e.g. 50)
-
The final invoice with the rest of the amount to be paid
You can do this from any place where you convert an order, a meeting room booking or a quote into an invoice and from the customer itself while creating an invoice.
Just like before, both invoices are drafts and need to be processed and sent.
